Cannot Open a Share Link: Blank Page, 404, or Blocked

1. **Confirm you're looking at the right page.** If you've published more than one project, check [History](/help/getting-started/sign-in-and-use-history-to-manage-your-pages) to verify the exact URL for the page you're

Who it's for

  • Creators who share a link and see a blank page, 404, or block screen
  • Anyone who lost access after changing a password, deleting a page, or switching accounts
  • People diagnosing whether a link is broken on their end or server-side

Steps

  1. Confirm you're looking at the right page. If you've published more than one project, check History to verify the exact URL for the page you're sharing.
  2. Check whether the link is public or password-gated. Review Your Share Link settings to confirm the access mode you chose. If the page requires a password, visitors see a password gate — send the correct password to anyone who needs to open it.
  3. Verify the page still exists. If you deleted the hosted page or closed your account, the share link stops working immediately. Recreate the page or restore from History if needed.
  4. Test with the browser's developer tools. Open the link in an incognito window, then press F12 → Console. A blank page with console errors often points to a broken file reference or a missing asset rather than a server issue.
  5. Look for a block or ban notice. Some pages are blocked under moderation review. Read the on-screen notice, then follow the steps in Page bans and violation scores or submit an appeal.
  6. Check your bandwidth or quota status. If your free bundle has run out of storage, uploads may fail silently and existing pages can become inaccessible. See Upload quota for bundles for details.
  7. If nothing else helps, contact support. Share the full URL, what you see (blank / 404 / block message), and any error console output.

Gotchas

  • Copying a password-protected link into an email or chat often strips the trailing characters. Always copy from the host toolbar after you click Copy Link.
  • Using the wrong account's History means you'll grab a stale or different link. Sign in to the account that actually hosts the page.
  • A 404 does not always mean "page gone." It can also appear when the hosting service is temporarily overwhelmed or the URL was mistyped.
