Audio or video rejected by your plan
Free rejects audio; Plus and Pro reject video. Remove the files or upgrade, then retry the zip.
If a zip fails because of audio or video, the file type is not on your current plan—or the package is over size or file count.
Who it's for
- Free users whose mp3 or other audio was rejected
- Plus or Pro users whose mp4 or webm was rejected
- Anyone who mixed a media error with a generic size error
Steps
- Read the message — Host tells you when a file is audio (needs Plus) or video (needs Ultra). Size and file-count errors are different; see Zip upload failed.
- Match the ladder — Every plan: HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts. Plus and Pro: audio (mp3, wav, ogg, m4a). Ultra: video (mp4, webm).
- Choose a fix — Remove the files and re-zip, or upgrade your storage plan on Pricing, then upload again.
- Re-upload existing sites — More → Re-upload in Uploads uses the same current-plan rules. The live page stays until a new upload succeeds.
- Pack the site correctly — Keep
index.htmlat the root and relative media paths. Walkthrough: Upload a zip or folder site and Include audio or video in a zip upload. - New to HTMLPUT? — Start with Create an account and host your first page.
Gotchas
- Fonts are allowed on Free; do not delete
.woff/.ttfthinking they are “media.” - Account storage full is a different bar in History—not the same as a media-type reject.
- After upgrade, retry the same zip; old error text does not apply until you submit again.
