Your public page acts as your HTMLPUT home base — it shows off your hosted pages and gives visitors a sense of who you are. You can edit the profile photo, cover image, display name, bio, and social links at any time.

Who it's for

  • Creators who want a personalized public page that links to their hosted work
  • Designers and developers building a portfolio or showcase
  • Anyone who hosts pages and wants a branded landing entry point

Steps

  1. Sign in and navigate to your public page. If you haven't set one up yet, see Set up your public page address.
  2. Click the Edit Profile button (or the pencil icon) on your public page header.
  3. Profile photo: Upload a square image (PNG or JPG, under 5 MB). This appears next to your name across HTMLPUT.
  4. Cover image: Upload a wide image (recommended minimum width 1200 px). This sits behind your page title and gives visual context to your page.
  5. Display name and bio: Update your name and write a short description of what you host. Keep it concise — visitors scan quickly.
  6. Social links: Add URLs for platforms like GitHub, Twitter, LinkedIn, or your personal site. Each link should be a full URL starting with https://.
  7. Click Save to publish your changes. They take effect immediately. For tips on adding hosted pages below your profile, see Add a hosted page to your public page.

Gotchas

  • Image files must be under 5 MB each. Large files will be rejected.
  • Social links must start with https://; plain text or relative URLs won't save.
  • Changes to your public page do not affect individual page titles or access settings. To edit those, go to Edit page title and access on a page.
