Edit page title and access settings in History
Edit page title and access settings in History
Who it's for
- Page owners who want to rename a hosted page
- Users who need to switch a page between public and password access
- Administrators who manage multiple pages and need to update metadata
Steps
- Sign in to your account and open the History feed, which lists all your hosted pages. See Sign in and use History to manage your pages.
- Locate the target page and click the edit (pencil) icon; this opens the host toolbar where you can modify the title and access. For details, see Use the host toolbar.
- In the Title field, replace the existing text with the new page name. The title appears in the browser tab and on the share link preview.
- Under Access, choose Public or Password. If you select Password, enter a password and confirm it. Learn more on Set a password on a page.
- Click Save. The new title and access setting are applied immediately, and the updated page is reflected in History.
Gotchas
- The URL slug does not change when you edit the title; the address remains the same.
- Password‑protected pages show a gate to visitors until they enter the correct password.
- Deleting a page removes its title and settings permanently; see Delete a hosted page.
