Appeal When Your Public Page Is Disabled
Appeal When Your Public Page Is Disabled
Who it's for
- You believe your public page was disabled in error and want to contest the decision.
- You've received a violation notice and need to understand your options.
- You want to learn how the appeal process works before taking further steps.
Steps
- Check your account notifications for violation details to understand which policy triggered the disablement.
- Read Understand Page Bans and Violation Scores to see how scores and bans are applied.
- Collect supporting evidence — screenshots, context, or explanations about your page content.
- Submit your appeal through Submit a Moderation Appeal with your evidence attached.
- Wait for the review team's response, typically within a few business days.
- If the appeal is denied, review your options: tighten password complexity requirements on remaining pages, or consider deleting your account and hosted pages if you choose to leave.
- Once reinstated, restore your public page by following Set up your public page address.
Gotchas
- Appeals without specific evidence or context are unlikely to be overturned.
- Repeated violations may reduce your eligibility for future appeals.
- A disabled page does not delete your hosted files — you still have access to your History.
