Who it's for
- Page owners who protect hosted pages with passwords
- Account holders managing their HTMLPUT credentials
Steps
When creating a page password, follow these guidelines:
- Use 8 to 64 characters minimum
- Include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number
- Special characters are permitted but not required
- Avoid simple sequences like "1234" or "abcd"
For account passwords, the requirements are identical:
- Minimum 8 characters, maximum 64 characters
- Must contain uppercase, lowercase, and numeric characters
- Spaces and certain special characters are disallowed
If your password is rejected during sign-in or page setup, verify you've met all criteria before retrying. A common issue is missing one of the required character types or exceeding the length limit. Ensure you haven't accidentally included spaces or used predictable patterns.
