Build a password-protected portfolio or resume page

Host a simple resume or portfolio with optional password access for recruiters.

Who it's for

  • Job seekers sharing a resume HTML page with select recruiters
  • Designers showing a portfolio before a public launch
  • Students submitting a static project link to a course portal

Steps

  1. Build one HTML file — Keep CSS inline or relative; test locally in a browser.
  2. Host — Follow host your first page on the home page.
  3. Enable password — Turn on Password protect and choose a recruiter-friendly password.
  4. Share privately — Send the link and password separately; mention it is not indexed for you.
  5. Go public later — Disable password in History → Edit when you want an open portfolio.
  6. Add multi-page work — Use zip upload if the portfolio spans many files.

Gotchas

  • Password gates deter casual viewers but are not encryption—avoid highly sensitive data.
  • Keep page weight modest for mobile recruiters on slow networks.
  • Use your real name in the Page title so it is easy to find in History.
