Redeem a claim code on a public work

Redeem a cl_… claim code on the work’s share page while signed in, then open Claimed in History—storage redeem codes will not work here.

Who it's for

• Visitors who received a claim code from a creator
• Users unsure why redeem failed (invalid, used, or revoked)
• Anyone looking for claimed works later

Steps

1. Confirm it’s a claim code — The value should look like cl_…. Plan/storage codes use a different redeem flow (What claim codes are).
2. Open the work — Use the creator’s share link for that work (example shape: /p/abc123—do not invent real IDs).
3. Sign in — Redeem requires an HTMLPUT account (Sign in and use History).
4. Enter the code — Paste the claim code, accept any consent prompt, and submit.
5. Confirm success — You should see the work as claimed for your account.
6. Find it later — In History, open Claimed to return to works you redeemed.
7. If it fails — Invalid, already used, or revoked codes cannot be forced through; ask the creator for a new code or see Generate and manage claim codes if you are the creator.

Gotchas

• You must be signed in; guests cannot complete redeem.
• A page password (if any) is separate from the claim-code step.
• Do not paste claim codes into the storage redeem box on Pricing or billing screens.
